Street Cleaner

Start Date: May 31, 2015 Title: Street Cleaner Department(s): Maintenance Reports to: BIA Chairman

Pay: $11/hr paid biweekly

Job Summary

The Street cleaner is hired as an independent contractor and paid by the BIA. The position includes cleaning the sidewalks and islands from garbage and debris within the Business Improvement Area and to replace garbage bags within city issued containers. The reference of "Garbage" here includes but is not limited to dog poop, weeds, broken glass, leaves, etc. On occasion, extra time might be required due to an event or weather.

The street cleaner will contact the chair regarding any large items, and they will direct any complaints to the chair.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements include walking every street in the BIA daily and clearing garbage from the streets and sidewalks & emptying City issued containers on garbage days before the City truck comes by for pick up. Also, coordination with the City regarding the street cleaning truck on Fridays is required. An hourly form is to be filled out and delivered to the office biweekly for payment to be issued.
