Griffiths Performance Physiotherapy Opens New Thorold Clinic

When Griffiths Performance Physiotherapy relocated their clinic to Front Street, part of

the appeal for the owners was that Thorold is an “up and coming destination” and a

central part of the Niagara Region. Opening in June at 14 Front St N, Thorold, (former

Pyro Pub building), the locally owned business is operated by a husband and wife team,

David and Amanda Griffiths.

NEW THOROLD CLINIC IS CENTRALLY LOCATED

“Thorold is centrally located in the region so we are able to cater to clients throughout

the region,” said David Griffiths, the Owner and Clinical Director of Griffiths

Performance Physiotherapy.

He has been practicing in Niagara for nearly a decade and has extensive experience in

sports related injuries and return to play protocols. He is also a certified speed and

agility coach and a certified weightlifting performance coach.

So far the move to Thorold is showing positive signs in their renovated facility.

“Our clients have been amazing! They all have followed us from our location in Niagara

Falls. We have a very loyal clientele and we pride ourselves on our customer service

and the quality of services we provide. We have also had a few local residents call us

for information about our services. We have also had a few new clients join us who live

in the area,” said clinic manager Amanda Griffiths.

Griffiths is planning a grand opening celebration, probably to be held in October when

the Front Street construction project is expected to wrap up.

“We want each and every person coming in the door to feel comfortable with our team

and with our system; so as part of our process we offer a 20 minute discovery session

for FREE. It’s an opportunity to discuss what matters most to you. It might be an injury,

a desire to increase speed and agility on the field or court or any other performance

goals you may have,” said David Griffiths.

“We love to answer questions and help you make the most informed decision,” he

added.

SPECIAL PILATES PACKAGE IN SEPTEMBER

In September, the clinic is offering a monthly Pilates package presented by Mariette,

their in-house Instructor. The deal for $40 per month is an amazing value adding up to

$20 in savings. The Pilates classes are 45 minutes and run on Mondays, 9:30 am and

Thursdays at 5:15 pm.

“At Griffiths Performance Physiotherapy, our goals are your goals! We strive to help

people the way they want or need. That may be throwing a ball to your dog

without sharp pain in your shoulder or working on more ankle strength so you can make

your jump shot in basketball feel easier. Our focus is on the “action” of improving and

work 1 on 1 with our clients to help them meet their goals,” David emphasized about the

clinic that applies a holistic approach to health and wellness.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In 2019 while operating in Niagara Falls, Griffiths Performance Physiotherapy stepped

up to the plate in a big way helping out kids in the community. They asked for

donations of water bottles for their Backpacks for Kids program. Thanks to Griffiths’ and

support from their customers, 30 kids in Niagara headed back to school with full

backpacks and water bottles, which were distributed by the United Way.

This year the Thorold clinic is currently running a Back to School Food Drive for No One

Goes Hungry Niagara in support of local children and families. The food drive runs until

September 14. They also run a coat drive in the winter for children in need.

Griffiths is also a Niagara River Lions sponsor of the CEBL team. Griffiths is always

trying to give back to the community and also support other small businesses in the

area.

SHOP THOROLD

“Karma Kameleon, Pho 18 and Homestead Donuts are our go to's for food and drinks.

We are also fans of Shannon Passsero and Gypsy Alley,” said Heidi, the office

receptionist and social media manager.

“We are constantly supporting local businesses. We shop local whenever we can. For

our monthly giveaway for clients this month we are gifting a "local business basket" We

are featuring products and gift certificates from local businesses which we are hoping

will encourage our clients to support and shop local as well,” she added.
