Halloween is going to be a real treat in Thorold this year!  Come join us for a fun filled walk through Downtown Thorold!  Costume up your canine friends (and yourself if you want to!) and come show off the pups to our shoppers, participants and judges!

The date is set for Saturday, October 19th with a rain date of Satuday, October 26, 2019. 

Online advanced registration is recommended and your registration package will be emailed to you before the event date.  

Pre-registration is online at www.thoroldbia.com/events.  Check in is between 11 and 11:30 a.m. at A Yellow Flower Basket, 50 Front Street North, Thorold and the promenade through the sidewalks of Downtown Thorold starts right after.  Judges are placed along the promenade route and prizes will be presented at PetValu - Thorold immediately following the walk. 

There are five costume categories available this year to win: “Best Friends” for the best group costume. “Cobblestone Cutie” for the chosen winner by residents of Cobblestone Gardens Retirement Home. The “Boo“ Award for scariest costume sponsored by Bocchinfuso Funeral Home. “Thorold's Top Dog” for the best overall costume. Top Dog gets a bag of Performatrin Dog Food from PetValu Thorold. The fifth category (new this year!) is the "Literary Lassie" award for the best book themed costume with a prize presented by the Thorold Public Library. 

Registered participants will meet up for pictures and sign-in and follow a path through downtown where businesses, judges and friends will be waiting to see all the great costumes. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun! 

For those wishing to shop or dine downtown following the event, Lynn's Grooming Salon on Front Street will be offering FREE dog sitting!
